2024 Subaru Crosstrek New Design

The 2024 Crosstrek was created with a focus on usability and sportiness to complement an active lifestyle. The 8.7-inch ground clearance of all Crosstrek models is better than that of many SUVs, while the front and rear passenger entry heights remain comfortable.

Standard on all models is a redesigned Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system with quicker reaction, more agile handling, and enhanced on- and off-road control. The driver-selectable X-MODE with Hill Descent Control enhances wheel control on slick terrain and steep inclines. Sport and Limited trims receive dual-function X-MODE for enhanced performance in a wider variety of circumstances. Incline Start Assist, which temporarily holds the vehicle as the driver pulls away from a stop on a slope, is standard on all models.

The flexible Crosstrek has rear seatbacks that fold 60:40. With both seatbacks folded down, the cargo compartment may expand to 54.7 cubic feet. The rear gate opening’s 41.0-inch width and low liftover height facilitate loading and unloading. Standard fixed cross bar mounting points (as well as standard elevated roof rails on Premium and higher trims) expand owners’ cargo-carrying possibilities.

Exterior and Interior Design

The new exterior design has a frameless hexagonal grille, tiny headlights, a more sculptural body, and a broad-shouldered attitude to convey an adventurous character. The contrast between the black wheel arch cladding and rocker panels and the body color is stark.

Multiple aerodynamic enhancements increase the SUV’s performance and stability. An air outlet at the trailing edge of the front wheel opening allows air to depart the wheel well more easily, reducing front tire lift and enhancing driving stability. Adding an additional air exit to each side of the rear bumper decreases body motion caused by air trapped behind the bumper.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek Interior and Safety Features

The interior has a greater emphasis on the relationship between the people and the vehicle. A more supportive design for the front seat improves overall comfort and reduces tiredness. A cabin is quieter and more comfortable as a consequence of a concerted effort to reduce noise within specific frequency ranges. In addition to sufficient head and leg room and storage space, the contemporary interior design offers a large center information display with highly visible controls. Rear privacy glass with a dark tint is standard.

2024 Crosstrek Safety Features

The torsional rigidity of the Subaru Global Platform for the 2024 Crosstrek has been increased by 10 percent. A comprehensive inner frame construction with stronger welding techniques and greater structural adhesive (from 26.2 feet to 88.5 feet) contribute to a more rigid and lighter body. These modifications result in enhanced dynamic performance, a more comfortable ride, and a quieter interior.

All 2024 Crosstrek models come standard with the newest version of the award-winning EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology. The improved system functions more efficiently and swiftly under a wider variety of situations. These enhancements are a result of an increased field of view, improved control software, and the installation of an electronic brake booster. EyeSight can detect bicycles and pedestrians at junctions more quickly and, if necessary, alert the driver and apply the brakes to prevent collisions.

Pricing

For the 2024 model year, Subaru Crosstrek will be available in Base, Premium, Sport, and Limited trim levels and has a starting price of $24,995* (same MSRP as 2023 Base model equipped with Lineartronic® CVT).

Engine and Performance

The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder direct-injection SUBARU BOXER® engine in the Base and Premium models produces 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The Sport and Limited models receive a 2.5-liter BOXER engine with 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. A Lineartronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with smoother and quieter performance is standard on all trim levels. The Premium, Sport, and Limited trims include a manual mode with paddle shifters on the steering wheel, allowing the driver to operate the transmission using eight preset ratios.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek Performance

Active Torque Vectoring and the SI-Drive performance management system are included as standard features on the SUV’s drivetrain. Standard on the Base and Premium are 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Sport and Limited receive 18-inch alloy wheels.

In addition, the 2024 Crosstrek is equipped with a variant of the WRX’s dual-pinion electronic power steering rack, which provides a more direct and natural steering feel and enhanced responsiveness.
